Having been appointed under previous employment on the previous phases, the developer put faith in Chord Consult to design this new build 1,000 bed student unit in Coventry. We are providing Stage 3+ design with post tender monitoring duties.
1,000 beds, plus ground floor commercial space. Designed to offer a highly cost effective solution to the new Part L (2021) legislation.
The project solution utilises energy efficient CO2 heat pump DHWS generation, with an innovative low loop distribution system.
The scheme is a celebration of our longstanding relationship with a leading UK developer, which was carried over to Chords start-up business based on solid and trusted Director and key staff relationships.
Pre-fabricated pod designs were integrated into the bedroom solutions to drive cost and time efficiency.
Low floor to floor heights were inherent, to achieve the bed numbers within planning constraints. Heat recovery ventilation is fully integrated into the structure to maximise comfort with minimal energy usage.
